Art Programs -UPDATED-

Description

Just a little something inspired by a conversation I had with my friends at school. Idea was all thanks to them, I just became inspired to give 'em designs. Finally decided to color them at least... I've been in a bit of an art rut and it's starting to depress me. Haven't been able to finish anything unless it's school related. Maybe I should post some of my school works here if you guys are interested? Anyway, a bit on the characters?

UPDATE: Another program added! This time we have, Google SketchUp!

Google SketchUp:new:
- Free 3D program. Comes from a very wealthy family but is a very honest and humble fellow.
- I apparently had this program installed in my comp without knowing I did. I only noticed him after my professor mentioned this program in class. I'm still trying it out. I have no idea how to use it yet.

Maya
- A 3D program. Serious and looks at himself as quite the pro.
- I designed Maya this way cause using Maya really kind of bores me and I find it complicated. So there!

Mudbox
- A 3D program. More hands on and less serious.
- He's the twin brother of Maya. He's slightly taller, more mature looking, but a lot more lighthearted than his "older" brother.

Gimp
- Free art program. Has talent but has a tendency to be ignored.
- Had to include him. Technically the first art program I ever used. He had limited capabilities but I've seen people do some real nice stuff using him.

ToonBoom
- 2D animating program. Likes cartoons a lot and is basically a fun guy.
- One of my faves both in design and kind of program. He's a fun guy cause I find using the program fun.

Corel
- An art program. Has a professional attitude and is an all around nice guy.
- I've only ever used this program once on a demo. I heard it's often used by professionals. I don't really know.

ArtRage
- Free/Pro art program. May look like a meek and nice guy, but turns into a totally different person when inspiration strikes.
- His whole appearance is inspired by his logo. Round glasses for the round logo, curly hair for the curly design in the logo. He's a bit Yandere, inspired by his name, as well as the fact that he has two versions (a free and commercial "pro" version). He's also taller than most.

Sai
- An art program. Is totally a hipster.
- Designed to look like a hipster. Cause to me, hipsters, and people who use Sai are practically all the same in the way they insist on what they like. (No offense, folks. It's cool!)

Manga Studio
- Manga making program. He's Asian.
- I never figured out how to use this program in the short while I tried it out sometime ago. That's kinda why he looks somewhat smarmy.

MS Paint
- A program I'm sure everyone has. Childish but is older than he looks.
- I'm sorry but... When I designed him, the only words going through my head were "12 year olds" or "n00bs". I've done some pretty neat stuff myself though on MS Paint. So he ain't that bad.

Photoshop
- An art program. Cocky and thinks everyone's his b*tch, when in truth he's the one who's everyone's b*tch.
- He thinks everyone needs him because I often use Photoshop and then import the stuff I did there to other programs like Maya or Flash and even Toonboom sometimes. The Adobe programs are all brothers (Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, & Illustrator).

InDesign
- A design program(?). Quiet and likes to keep to himself. Not at all boisterous like his brothers.
- I honestly have never once used this program except for that time I played with the butterfly screensaver thing. The butterflies; That's exactly why I made him a little girly. Plus the pink.

Flash
- Multimedia. Very diverse and loves to do all kinds of things. He loves games too.
- I honestly suck at flash and I hate animating in it. But I really do want to learn to make full use of it. I still dream of one day making a flash game like all the awesome people at Newgrounds. Also, he looks like a Pokemon trainer. Was totally not on purpose but he likes games anyway, so whatever!

Illustrator
- A graphic program. Carefree but can be rather nit-picky.
- Tried out the program recently. I'd rather stick to Photoshop. His pen tool is dang hard to control! I also had a bit of trouble with his clothes as I wasn't sure what I wanted for him really.

I might make other programs, but thus far I've tackled ones I'm familiar with or have used at least once before.
